Decideware applications are accessed "on-demand", across the Internet using a web browser, with no additional software required. The delivery platform has been through rigorous security due diligence and e-risk assessments both at a software and hosting level. Of course, we invite our clients to conduct their own audits.

Decideware applications are written using a 3-tier architecture with separate user interface, business rule and data access domains. We develop and deploy on a Microsoft platform, using only industry standard languages and technology such as HTML, JavaScript, Server based Java and SQL.

Hosting Environment

We are co-located with our hosting partner, NextGen.Net. NextGen.Net has been developing and hosting robust and sophisticated applications for clients in the finance, manufacturing and services industries for more than eleven years. NextGen.Net is at the forefront of secure electronic commerce and use of the Internet for dissemination of highly sensitive corporate information.

Security

A key component to protecting your privacy is security. To ensure security, this site uses a secure internet technology known as SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). When requesting sensitive information from you, we use internet pages which are secured with SSL. All SSL pages are protected by secure encryption technology. Encryption prevents 3rd parties from viewing information in transit between the site and yourself. Popular browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari will alert you when information is being protected by SSL. Most browsers uses a locked padlock on a yellow background to indicate when a page is protected by SSL.

A Decideware security whitepaper is available upon request. NextGen.Net's security policies are based on the AS4444 standard for Information Security Management. Our hosting environment processes are reviewed by the Ernst & Young eRisk team on an annual basis. We also have our application security reviewed by external 3rd party specialist consultancies.

Facilities

Managed Hosting Services are provided at NextGen.Net's own state of the art computer facility located with Global Switch (http://www.globalswitch.com) incorporating a highly-secure computer room environment, multi-redundant power services, custom web server and application monitoring tools providing 24 x 7 x 365 coverage. Servers are configured with full fail-over redundancy and utilise load-balancing technology for greater capacity and higher levels of resilience.
